QUESTIONED IN SDT
Petar Lazovic detained for up to 72 hours
The official of the National Security Agency (ANB) PetarLazovic, whom the European Union's law enforcement agency Europol labeled as a member of the "Kavac clan", was questioned this morning in the building of the Special State Prosecutor's Office (SDT). As TVCG learns, he was detained for up to 72 hours.
Lazovic was arrested yesterday on suspicion of having committed the criminal acts of creating a criminal organization, unauthorized production, possession and distribution of narcotic drugs, smuggling, illegal possession of weapons and explosive materials, and abuse of official position.
He was questioned this morning around eight o'clock in the SDT building. The building was secured by a large number of policemen.
Yesterday, SDT also issued an arrest warrant for police officer LjuboMilovic, who is wanted by the police.
In the document, which ‘’Libertaspress’’ previously had access to, in which the policemen PetarLazović (32) and LjuboMilovic (32) were designated as members of the notorious criminal ‘’Kavac clan’’, information was provided to the Montenegrin police and the prosecutor's office in July of last year indicating that the two were allegedly "directly involved in the smuggling of large quantities of cocaine from Ecuador to the European Union and Australia".
The police searched the hotel "Podgorica" yesterday, as well as the restaurant "Grahovac" in the Municipality of Niksic.
The media previously speculated that Milovic had left Montenegro, but there is no confirmation of this yet.
The "Libertaspress" portal announced that the chief special prosecutor Vladimir Novovic ordered at the beginning of May, after the publication of the Europol documents, the creation of a new case regarding the alleged criminal activities of Lazovic and Milovic.
