The employer seeks to reduce the working hours of the employee

The Administration for Inspection Affairs (UIP) received a complaint from an employee in Budva stating that the employer asked him to change the working hours from full to part-time in an annex to the contract, said Ana Vujosevic, assistant director of the Administration for Inspection Affairs.

"We will check whether it is a bad intention or the request is justified. If there are elements, we will act according to the law. The penalties will be rigorous, we will act in a consistent way," Vujosevic pointed out as a guest on the morning program.

Vujosevic added that the UIP has already undertaken preparatory activities in terms of monitoring the implementation of the "Europe Now" program.

She adds that, as previously announced by the Government, a coordination body will be formed to monitor the "Europe Now" project, which will consist of representatives of the UIP, ministries, the Revenue and Customs Administration.

She notes that in December, the UIP made a list of supervised entities with the total number of employees, the number of employees registered for full-time work and part-time employees.

"In the next period, it will be monitored how much that number will vary, i.e. whether there will be a change in their part-time and full-time applications. All complaints received by the UIP will be considered as a matter of priority, will be treated thoroughly, controls will be carried out systematically. We will check large retail chains and entities that have branches in all municipalities in Montenegro, as well as those with few employees, to see if with a small number of employees the work process can be done as reported. These are some pre-activities, and as the project unfolds, further steps will be considered,"Vujosevic said.
