9th GOVERNMENT SESSION

Prices of flour, oil, sugar limited...

At the IX session of the Government of Montenegro, a decision was made to limit to five percent the maximum wholesale margins for wheat (types 400 and 500), sugar, oil and salt.The maximum margin on these groceries for small shops will be seven percent.

The Government also adopted the Proposal of the Decision on Amendments to the Decision on the Supplement to the Basic Salary for Performing Work in Certain Workplaces.

Minister of Economic Development and Tourism Goran Djurovic said at the session that the decision on limiting product prices will contribute to reducing the impact of rising prices on citizens.

The Minister pointed out that Montenegro has enough food and energy.

"In wholesale, the margin will be limited to 5, and in retail to 7%," he added, "I am sure that the Ministry of Agriculture will do and does everything to limit the prices of wood and pellets."

Minister RankoKrivokapic said that he would do everything to make economic diplomacy more present in the work of the MFA.
