BECIC

"Prosecutorial Council to serve Montenegro and its citizens"

The President of the Parliament of Montenegro, Aleksa Becic, said that yesterday's session of the Parliament brought a lot of good to the citizens and brought a smile back to their faces, but also showed that the deputies can be united.

He pointed out that he was convinced "that we have got an independent, professional, and impartial Prosecutorial Council, which will serve exclusively Montenegro and Montenegrin citizens."

Becic said that he was satisfied with the achievements of the 27th convocation of the Montenegrin Parliament and everything they have done in the last 16 months and in 2021.

He is satisfied, as he stated, with the legislative role that the Parliament performs, in terms of resolving the life issues of citizens, correcting injustices, in the field of modernization of the Parliament and strengthening international cooperation.

As Becic stated, the Montenegrin Parliament held 21 sessions, i.e. 26 since the beginning of the convocation. Over 130 acts were adopted.

He pointed out that they inherited over 70 bills, which were in the parliamentary procedure, and of that, as he stated, about 40 of them from the Government of Dusko Markovic.

"The results are the pride of every MP, both the government and the opposition, and primarily the citizens of Montenegro," Becic said.

He reminded of the draft laws adopted yesterday.

"Yesterday's session of the Parliament brought a lot of good to the citizens of Montenegro and showed that the deputies can be united on important topics," he added.
