It is essential that Montenegro remains stable
Montenegro is a key country in the Western Balkans and it is important to remain stable in order to help neighbors who are going through a period of instability, said the President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) Pedro Agramunt.
He said that Montenegro‘s’participation in all processes is very important.
"Experts of the Council of Europe can help Montenegro in achieving its strategic priorities, particularly in European integration," said Agramunt at a meeting with members of the Committee on Human Rights and Freedoms and the members of the Delegation of the Parliament of Montenegro to PACE.
He offered help of PACE and the Committee on Legal Affairs and Human Rights in the development of mechanisms for dealing with conventions and judgments of the European Court of Human Rights.
President of PACE presented the key priorities of his presidency of this year's Parliamentary Assembly to the participants of the meetingand saying that the focus of activities will be the fight against populism and terrorism, solving of active and frozen conflicts and migrant and refugee crisis.
