Dimitrov and Kotzias negotiated for six hours again

The foreign ministers of Greece and the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (FYROM), Nikos Kotzias and Nicola Dimitrov, last night hours discussed the name dispute for six in New York under the aegis of United Nations mediator Matthew Nimetz.

Macedonian Foreign Ministry announced the meeting will be resumed at 15.30 mid-European time and it is expected that one of the negotiators, or all three, would make statements after discussions have ended.

Before new round of negotiations Dimitrov and Kotzias met separately with UN Secretary General Antonio Guterress and discussed solutions to the dispute.

After the meeting Dimitrov said there was a historic possibility to close decades long, historic dispute.

Kotzias said that the solution requested compromise and asked the other side to be pragmatic and realistic in order to find the solution.
