BiH: Iftar dinner for 6.000 people

In Bosnia and Herzegovina, an iftar was organized last night for 6,000 people at the City Stadium in Kakanj.

Iftar, as reported by Anadolu agency, was organized in cooperation with the Turkish Bayrampasa municipality.

BiH Presidency Chairman Bakir Izetbegovic said in his address to the guests that BiH has strong ties with the Republic of Turkey.

"There is nothing in the history of Bosnia that Kakanj did not participate in, and there is nothing in that history that has not left a trace in this town. This is a town of miners, fighters, workers. Building their land, and defending their land, they were dying. Today we laid flowers to the miners who died 63 years ago, 128 of them.

They were dying defending BiH in the Second World War, they were dying defending Bosnia in the last war. Tonight here are present our friends from Bayrampasa, where many Bosniaks live. We have historical relations with the Turks, friendly, emotional, more and more business and family ties. Millions of Bosniaks live in Turkey and it is a guarantee that this friendship that we now have, that President Erdogan and I worked on, will last long and be better, " Izetbegovic said.
Iftar was attended by numerous names from political, cultural and religious life from Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Turkey.
