THE MINISTER ANNOUNCED
For Montenegro, 150 thousand Chinese vaccines
150,000 doses of Chinese vaccine will be delivered to Montenegro, said the Minister of Health, Jelena Borovinic Bojovic, stating that a pre-agreement on procurement has already been signed with the Chinese.
When asked by reporters whether and when the contract with the Chinese manufacturer was signed, she answered that the pre-contract was signed directly with the pharmaceutical company Sinophram, i.e. with their headquarters in Beijing.
"The pre-agreement has been signed and the doses have been agreed, 150 thousand doses of the Sinophram vaccine will arrive in Montenegro," Borovinic Bojovic said.
She added that diplomatic consent had been secured and that they had a response from the Chinese embassy.
Borovinic Bojovic reiterated that the COVAX initiative has long provided an adequate number of vaccines and, as she stated, it is completely clear that this initiative is going well.
"We will certainly get those vaccines that were agreed through the COVAX initiative," Borovinic Bojovic said.
She added that a bilateral agreement with the Russians has been signed and that they expect the arrival of vaccines very soon.
"The contract with Pfizer is in the financial phase, because concluding a contract implies several phases, each of which is individually important," Borovinic Bojovic explained.
