BOROVINIC- BOJOVIC

Vaccination at the end of January

Minister of Health Jelena Borovinic- Bojovic says that vaccination against the corona virus in Montenegro could start as early as the end of January. Vaccination is voluntary; she states and expects that the response of citizens will be good. She could not specify how many vaccines we will receive in the first purchase, as well as from which manufacturer.

Borovinic- Bojovic stated at the press conference that the Government has intensive contacts with the EU, but also with vaccine manufacturers, in order to arrive in Montenegro as soon as possible.

"If the negotiations continue at this pace, we can expect that vaccination in Montenegro could begin at the end of January," Borovinic- Bojovic said.

She stated that she could not say exactly how much vaccine we would get in the first phase, or which vaccine we would get.

"In the foreground, it was agreed that people older than 80, then older than 65, people in nursing homes, health workers who are on the first line of defense will be vaccinated, and after that other vaccinations will start, which will also go according to priorities," the minister explained.

Vaccination is voluntary, she says, adding that she expects the response from citizens to be good.
