Abazovic is the target of a regional criminal clan
The executive director of the Civic Movement URA, Zoran Mikic, announced that they had information according to which a regional criminal clan wants to endanger the life of the leader of the Black and White coalition, Dritan Abazovic.
At an extraordinary press conference Mikic said that Abazovic has had dozens of threats on social networks and by phone since the August 30 elections, but there were also gatherings in front of his family house in Ulcinj, which is why they asked for the URA leader security assessment.
To date, he says, they have not received answers from the police and the ANB.
"Now we have information that a regional criminal clan wants to directly endanger his life and the lives of his family. It is a regional criminal clan that carries out activities not only in Montenegro, but also in the countries of the region," said Mikic, stating that these are not clans from our country.
"We have done everything in our power to prevent any kind of danger to Abazovic or the officials of the Black and White coalition. If something happens to him or his family, or someone tries to endanger his life or safety, the director of the Police Directorate Veselin Veljovic and other leaders of the security sector will bear direct responsibility." Mikic said.
He says that no criminal clan and informal center of power will be stronger than the state of Montenegro.
Asked whether there was a direct threat through a phone call, URA Vice President, Milos Konatar, said that they had information obtained through several independent sources that were not connected to each other.
"There is no threat that could discourage Abazovic, GP URA or anyone from the Black and White coalition on the path of democratic changes in Montenegro," Konatar was clear.
