Unquestionable state symbols, independence of Kosovo and NATO

Standard-bearers of three lists "For the future of Montenegro" Zdravko Krivokapic, "Peace is our nation" Aleksa Becic and "Black on White" Dritan Abazovic signed the Agreement by which, among other things, they committed themselves that the new government in Montenegro will responsibly implement all international obligations undertaken by the state, strengthen and improve cooperation with NATO and quickly, fully implement all reforms needed for membership of Montenegro in the EU.

They said they would not launch initiatives either procedures aimed at changing the state flag, coat of arms and anthem and that they will not initiate proceedings to withdraw recognition of Kosovo's independence. The agreement they signed yesterday was presented today at the press conference.

They announced that the new democratic government will completely depoliticize key government institutions with the aim of securing an uncompromising struggle against crime and corruption.

"That the new democratic government will respect the Constitution and will not in that regard initiate any initiatives or procedures aimed at changing the state flags, coats of arms and anthems ", reads the Agreement.

The new government, as stated, will not carry out revenge on political or any other basis, will adopt and revise all laws in line with European standards with the aim of integration of Montenegro in the EU as soon as possible and will allow minority parties to participate in the government whether they have parliamentary status or not.

The position on the Law on Freedom of Religion was not mentioned in the Agreement, stated Krivokapic, adding that he will pass a law that will be in in line with European values.

"This current law threatens property, and it must be changed, we all agree on that" Krivokapic said.

Becic said that the Agreement itself definitely says more from any sentence.

"We have shown our responsibility for the historical moment in which we find ourselves. This Agreement is also the best response to the allegations, and it is a confirmation that the new democratic government will be pro-European, pro-Western, conciliatory, ready to serve only the citizens and the state. We will respect the Constitution of Montenegro and there is no word of changing the symbols, "Becic said.
