THE CORONA VIRUS

29 cases in Montenegro, 7 hospitalized in KCCG

Assistant Minister of Health Miro Knezevic told TVCG that 29 cases of coronavirus were registered in Montenegro. He pointed out that the whole world was in a problem when it came to procurement of equipment, but Montenegro resisted this problem and reacted in a timely manner.

According to the report from the Institute for Public Health, there are 7 patients hospitalized at the Clinical Center of Montenegro (KCCG) and all of them are currently in stable health condition.

"The latest data - 29 positive cases in Montenegro, 207 negative out of 247 tested," he said.

"We will have enough personal protective equipment when some more contingents of equipment arrive to us today. In that part we will not be in trouble. So the equipment arrives. We are also provided with respirators," said Knezevic.

Knezevic pointed out that every individual should take care so we would not have to get into situation when wehave a need for respirators, which are sufficient for now.

That is why, Knezevic pointed out, one should stay at home.

"Initially, many citizens understood the situation lightly. I think the situation is improving now. Citizens are more conscientious, there are fewer number of them on the street. Children here are less affected by this virusbut responsibility to the elderly must be respected," he said, adding that children can transmit the virus.

It is important to be aware because we cannot know who is or has been in contact with someone infected.

"As few contacts as possible, getting out only when we have to and for what we have to," he stated.
