THERE IS NO REASON FOR CONCERN

Pensions regular, measures for the most vulnerable to be prepared soon

The payment of pensions will not be jeopardized and a package of measures for the most vulnerable will be prepared, RTCG Portal learns unofficially from the Government of Montenegro.

Due to numerous events surrounding the coronavirus, the public in Montenegro is concerned about the regularity of pension payments.

As we unofficially learn from the Government of Montenegro, there is no reason for concern.

Pensions will be regularly paid tomorrow and a package of measures for the most vulnerable is in preparation.

The Pension and Disability Insurance Fund (PIO Fond) of Montenegro announced today that the payment of the regular monthly benefit for February 2020 will start tomorrow, March 19, 2020.

"The Fund has taken some steps with commercial banks to enable timely and least risky manner in which the pensionerswould have their pensions available. Pensioners who receive the pension through the Post of Montenegro will be able to receive it via a delivery network (postman) to their home address,"saidPIO Fund.

The average pension, they said, is EUR 288.78, and the total funds for payment of pension and disability insurance entitlements are EUR 35.53 million.

Earlier today, the Post of Montenegro informed citizens that regularpayment of pensions and other benefits - cash benefits for February will start tomorrow, exclusively through the delivery network (postman) in the territory of Montenegro.
