"SPC protests used to negate Montenegro"

Defense Minister PredragBoskovic said that protests organized by the Serbian Orthodox Church (SPC) are being used as a negation of the Montenegrin state being and identity, but also of Montenegro as an independent state.

Commenting on the Law on Freedom of Religion and the events that followed its adoption, Boskovic said that the noise was not raised because of the law itself, but that the campaign was aimed at negating Montenegro and Montenegrins as a nation.

"It is precisely these protests organized by the Serbian Orthodox Church that are used as a negation of the state of Montenegro, identity and Montenegro as an independent state. We have had statements from individuals saying that Montenegro will be returned to Serbia in the end, which shows that the reason for entire protests and noise is not a Freedom of Religion Act at all, but rather a campaign aimed at negating Montenegro, Montenegrins as a nation and an independent state, "Boskovic said in the Morning Program of Radio and Television of Montenegro (RTCG).

They must be informed that the law has come into force, it will not be withdrawn and that Montenegro, as Prime Minister DuskoMarkovic has said, is ready to talk to the Metropolitanate of Montenegro and the Littoral about a basic contract.

Commenting on the processions and molebens held throughout Montenegro, Boskovic says it is the democratic right of the MCP to organize them, as long as the rallies are peaceful and send peaceful messages.
