IMF RAISES FORECASTS

Montenegrin economy to grow 3% this year

The International Monetary Fund (IMF), in its most recent forecasts,has increased estimated growth of the Montenegrin economy for this year at three percent.

In April, the IMF forecast Montenegrin growth of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of 2.8 percent for this year.

New regular autumn forecasts for the global economy state that the Montenegrin economy recorded growth of 4.9 last yearcompared to 4.5 percent in April. 

Inflation is projected to be 2.3 percent this year, and 1.6 percent in the next year.

IMF, when it comes to the current account balance in Montenegro, forecast shortfall of 17.1 percent in this year, 14.9 percent in the next year and 9.5 percent in 2024.
