19,502 PERMITS ISSUED

Most seasonal workers from Serbia and BiH

In the period between 1 January and 9 August 2019, a total of 19.502 temporary residence permits have been issued. Around 3.614 have been issued on the grounds of seasonal job, the representatives of the Ministry of Interiortold the Dnevne Novine daily.

According to the data, most seasonal workers came from Serbia (2.430), Bosnia and Herzegovina (329), Kosovo (222), Macedonia (190) and Albania (101).

According to the data of the Employment Agency of Montenegro, most seasonal workers found job in hotels and restaurants.

“The highest number of permits for seasonal employment of foreigners was issued under accommodation and food service activities (2,395 or 76.66 percent), followed by other service activities (352 or 11.27 percent) and agriculture, forestry and fishing (100 or 3.2percent), "Chief of Staff at the Statistical Office at ZZZCG Jovan Kostic told the Dnevne Novine daily.
