PRINCE NIKOLA

I pospotne Petrovic's remains transfer

Prince Nikola Petrovic said that he decided to postpone transfer of the remains of his family to Montenegro until the state founds its inner peace.

Prince Nikola Petrovic said he, "heavy-hearted and in concern for the social peace ", suggested to bury the remains of his father and uncles in a civilian cemetery and not in the Cetinje monastery governed by the Metropolitanate of Montenegro and the Littoral Serbian Orthodox Church.

He also said that he did not want to comment on the insulting messages sent by the Metropolitan bishop of Montenegro and the Littoral Amiflohije.

"In some different context my deep desire would be to join the remains of my father and his uncles with the remains of their ancestors in the Cetinje monastery, and that event would be new opportunity to unite the citizens of Montnegro. Unfortunately, faced with disagreements that this logical stance caused, heavy-hearted and in concern for the social peace, I suggested to bury the remains in the civilian cemetery", he said.

Great-grandson of the last Montenegrin sovereign, king Nikola, added that he decided to postpone transfer of his family's remains until Montenegro has found its inner peace.

"I notice that my position, whatever it may be, will always be criticized and the source of the manipulation, so I decided, until Montenegro has found inner peace in this regard, to postpone the transfer of remains of my family to Montenegro, " the prince stated.
