Savic disappointed with the attitude of english footballers

The accusations for racism threw a shadow over great atmosphere that was present on the eve, but also during the match between Montenegro and England in Podgorica. There was no trace of aggression and problems announced by the British media.

English footballers have reported that Montenegrin fans have offended them on a racist basis, after which UEFA opened an investigation.

Our players were impressed by the strength of the English players, but disappointed with their relationship. After the duel, the captain of the "Gordy Albion" George Henderson said to Aleksandar Boljevic that he would give him a jersey, and in the finish of the match, Danny Rose with a rough tackle raised unnecessary tensions, considering the winner was already known.

"I've always said that I would rather lose with this team than to play with arrogant players like certain English players," said Montenegrin captain Stefan Savic, who was playing with the risk of renewing the injury.

The defender of the Atletico Madrid said that he is aware that England team is bigger and better than ours, but that he sometimes feels bad for playing football professionaly.

"When you see players who have made it in big clubs and behave like English captain Henderson, where he tells our player in the duel that he’ll give him a jersey, it is a little snooty and ugly. I just drew attention to them not to behave like that and I think that they understood the message. Football is a nice game and one should respect the opponent,"Savic said.

With a goal in the 17th minuteMarko Vesovicbrought a hope that our team could get a good result, but England team then showed all the strength and eventually reached a convincing triumph (5:1).

"On the ground they seemed as if they were walking, not running. They know who does what and they react momentarily. And that’s incredible speed and change of direction. I am glad that I experienced it," said Marko Vesovic.
