Investments of about 66 million big opportunity for Montenegro

Investments in Uniprom KAP, about 36 million euros realized and another 30 million planned, are a great oppportunity for Montenegro, its economy, industrial production as well as for exports increase, it was announced today during the visit of the Prime Minister of Montenegro Dusko Markovic to this factory.

"A new modern industrial center is practically being developed here in Montenegro. I am sure that most citizens do not know about it, not just in Montenegro, but also in Podgorica. New sections and factories for the finalization of aluminum production are being developed," Markovic said.

He added that a new production line for aluminum alloys will be completed in May, and by the end of the year we will have a new factory that will provide a line for the production of aluminum logs. In 2020, as Markovic pointed out, another new factory is planned for the production of aluminum wire and steel wire.

Owner of Uniprom Veselin Pejovic said that €20 million was invested so far for replacement of 170 cells and other infrastructure.

“The production of the new factory will be 30.000 tons. The next one will have the capacity of 70.000 tons. That’s a total of 100.000 tons. That means that we are supposed to have around $300 million of export in 2020”, said Pejovic.
