Montenegro defends the right to choose its own way

Montenegro defends its right to sovereignly choose its path to the future, President Milo Djukanovic said in Brussels after meeting with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.

Djukanovic called on the alliance to continue to contribute to the stability of the region, pointing out that we are aware that there are also other interested parties for the Western Balkans.

The Montenegrin President said "we are very ready, and we have demonstrated our ability regardless of size, to be very persistent and very courageous defending our right to sovereignly choose our path in the future."

"And to with equal determination and courage defend our choice to make Montenegro fully part of modern European and Euro-Atlantic civilization and to implement the European system of values fully," Djukanovic added.

Montenegro, as he said, confirms to be a responsible NATO member and continues to play an important role in expanding the culture of Euro-Atlantic values in the Western Balkans.
