FIRST OUT OF THREE

New army helicopter arrived

The first out of three purchased Bell 412 EP helicopters, of the Army of Montenegro, landed today at the Military Airport in Podgorica.

The new aircraft arrived accompanied by our helicopters type Gazelle. The remaining two helicopters, with even more powerful performances, labeled "412 EPI", will arrive later this year.

Defense Minister Predrag Boskovic said that it was a multi-purpose helicopter, from which, according to him, all citizens of Montenegro will benefit.

"We are fulfilling what we have promised. Purchase of three helicopters, which we have negotiated with the Canadian Government and the Bell, significantly enhances the capabilities and capacities of not only the Aviation and Army of Montenegro, but also the entire state, because new helicopters will not serve only for military but for civilian purposes also, " Defense Minister Predrag Boskovic said.

The helicopter handover was attended by the Chief of the General Staff of the Army of Montenegro, Brigadier General Ilija Dakovic, the Commander of the Air Force of the Army of Montenegro, Lieutenant Colonel Nenad Pavlovic, as well as several representatives of the company "Bell" and the Canadian Commercial Corporation.

Captain Darko Pavlovic, one of the four pilots of the Aviation Authority of Montenegro who have already completed helicopter training for Bell 412 EPI and EP at the Bell Wave Training Academy in Fort Worth (Fort Worth) in Texas, near Dallas, flew the helicopter from Prague. .
