"Tara" is closed until further notice

The professional services of the Tara weapons factory are constantly implementing occupational safety measures, controlling the day-to-day work flow in order to minimize the risk of adverse events, the company said. The management said in a statement to the RTCG Portal that the factory would not work until further notice.

Nevertheless, as they say despite everything that has been done, and acting according to the prescribed technological procedures and the rules of protection at work, an accident occurred yesterday.

The competent authorities conducted an investigation into the Tara weapons factory in Mojkovac after yesterday's explosion when two person were severely injured.

"Yesterday, the management of the company "Tara Aerospace and  Defense Products AD" in cooperation with the highest state institutions, took all available measures and activities to give two injured workers Radovan Cobeljic and Maksim Vujicic all the necessary care. After being treated in the KBC in Podgorica and provided with adequate medical assistance, the injured workers were transported to the MMA in Belgrade, where they were provided with the necessary medical assistance. According to the information we have, both workers are still life threatened at the moment," the company management said.

Menagement announces it would give all possible help and support to injured workers and their families, expressing hope that their health will improve.
