MARKOVIC ON GOVERNMENT 20. 11. 2017.   >>  17:17 0

Optimism based on results

The Government's results so far give the right to believe that we can reach more quickly the living standards of the most developed countries in Europe, and therefore I remain convinced that the reasons for optimism are based on the results, and that the best days for Montenegro are yet to come, Prime Minister Dusko Markovic said.

In his statement to the newspaper "Pogled", prior to the anniversary of the government's work, Markovic said that the challenges facing Montenegro are not linked to the mandate of a single government, "but it is part of a wider process that has opened and stimulated our economy over the past years, and this process gained a special momentum after the restoration of state independence. "

"The government I run, relying on the already achieved strategic political priorities, for the past 11 months has been fully devoted to the dynamism of economic growth, which will equally encompass every region of Montenegro, but also all segments of society," the prime minister said.

He said that the Government managed to create preconditions for further growth of employment in the short term, facilitate and provide the opportunity for balanced development and restore confidence in the Montenegrin economy.

Markovic assessed that the Government, in continuity and already confirmed methods, is working on strengthening the environment for the development of the economy, as well as providing opportunities for success for all who are ready to try entrepreneurship and business.

Markovic emphasized that new and better jobs are a result of a favorable economic environment.

"According to administrative data on employment, the average number of employees in the first seven months of this year was over 183,000 persons, which is almost 7,000 employees.
