AMBASSADOR COSNETT

US support for the EU in the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina

The American ambassador to Kosovo Philip Cosnett met with the EU special envoy for the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina Miroslav Lajcak and on that occasion said that the EU has the full support of the USA in mediating the "dialogue between the two countries".

Cosnett added on Twitter that the goal of this dialogue would be a comprehensive solution and deeper integration of both countries.

Lajcak began his three-day visit to Kosovo with a meeting with Self-Determination Movement leader Albin Kurti, who said dialogue with Serbia could be neither the government's first nor second priority.

After the meeting, Kurti said that he did not deny the importance of the dialogue, but that it should be well prepared and honest.
