DJURIC BELIEVES

Hoti is not for dialogue, he just wants recognition

The director of the office of the Government of Serbia for Kosovo, Marko Djuric, assessed that Pristina is not interested in dialogue and that the normalization of relations only serves to force recognition.

"The blackmailing strategy of (Kosovo Prime Minister) Avdulah Hoti, in addition to destroying the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina, contains the message that Pristina is not interested in any normalization, but that for Pristina normalization is only a means to extort recognition," Djuric pointed out.

According to him, Hoti is using the means of professional blackmailers to try to bring both Serbia and the European Union to justice, offering a choice between blocking the dialogue and Belgrade's recognition of self-proclaimed Kosovo.

Djuric pointed out that for Belgrade, the process of normalization of relations is not a means, but an end, because he is sincerely interested in gradually creating an atmosphere in the region in which intractable disagreements result in hostility and conflict.

"Serbs in Kosovo will not be Hoti's hostages, and we will continue to be persistent in our efforts to resolve open issues at the negotiating table, but I must tell European partners that the situation Hoti is bringing us into with its political insolence is becoming more and more absurd. I am worried about the future of the dialogue ", stated Djuric.
