94 CASES IN A DAY

The loosening of the measures increased the number of people infected in BiH

After the authorities of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Republika Srpska decided to relax some measures combating the spread of coronavirus, a sharp jump in the number of infected was registered.

A total of 94 new cases were registered in one day.

This increase in the number of newly infected people was commented at a press conference by Republika Srpska Health Minister Alen Seranic, saying that these high numbers are the result of more relaxed behavior by citizens.

He noted that after the loosening of the measures many citizens do not wear masks which, he said, should not happen.

This, he said, will be shown very quickly through the numbers that are communicated daily.

There have been a total of 1,651 cases of infection since the start of the pandemic in BiH, and 64 people have died.

The Crisis Staff of the BiH Ministry of Health said that they proposed a ban on the movement of people over 65 and under 18 and a ban on movement for all citizens after 8 pm on three non-working days of May Day holiday.
