Pristina denies that Ghana has withdrawn recognition

The information on alleged revoking of the Kosovo independence recognition by Ghana is fake, Kosovo Misnitry of Foreign Affairs says.

Adviser to the foreign minister Jetlir Zuberaj told the Anadolia agency that it was all part of the dirty campaign by Ivica Dacic, Serbian Foreign Minister, and not worth wasting time on.

"This is another false news in a row. Each United Nations member supports a dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia. Most UN member states voted in 2010 for a UN General Assembly resolution to open a dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia. It’s constant propaganda and a dirty campaign by Ivica Dacic and it is not worth wasting time on, ” Zuberaj said.

He reminded that Ghana has an accredited ambassador to Kosovo and a honorary consul, adding that Minister Pacolli and the Ghana Foreign Minister met at the UN recently in New York.

Earlier today Serbian Foreign Ministry said that it has been informed that Ghana has revoked its decision to recognize Kosovo which made it the 16th UN member state to revoke the decision to recognize Kosovo.

Ghana recognized Kosovo in 2012.
