Hearing in the Agrokor case

Investigators of the Zagreb County State Prosecutor's Office began investigating the suspects in the Agrokor case this morning.

The investigation covered 15 people and 12 of them was arrested yesterday. Three suspects, members of Todoric family, founder of Agrokor Ivica Todoric and his sons Ante and Ivan, are not available to Croatian institutions. According to the available data, they are all located abroad, in London.

The first interrogated this morning was Damir Kustrak, former member of the Management Board of Agrokor, the only member of the former management who was appointed as the advisor by the  Agrokor Extraordinary Commissioner for the Advisor, followed by the former member of Agrokor's Administration Piruska Canjuga.

The arrested were mainly former members of the management board or supervisory board in Agrokor, and among them was Ivica Todoric's son-in-law Hrvoje Balent. Two employees from the Baker Tilly Auditor's House, which conducted audit reports for the troubled Croatian concern, were also arrested.

Ministry of Interior (MUP) announced last night that criminal complaint with the County State Prosecutor's Office in Zagreb was planned for all the arrested for criminal offenses of misuse of trust in commercial transactions, forgery of official documents and violation of the obligation to keep trading and business books.
