Associate Commissioner for Agrokor proposed
Croatian Government proposed Ante Ramljak this morning as associate commissioner for Agrokor.
The decision was addressed to the Commercial Court in Zagreb which should make a decision in the next two days on the opening of the extraordinary administration procedure and a decision on the appointment of an extraordinary commissioner.
Ramljak was proposed at the extraordinary session of the Government, based on the Lex Agrokor and the Law on the extraordinary administration in companies of systemic importance for the state, which was approved by the Parliament last week.
Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic said that Ramljak is experienced financial and economic expert and stressed that at this point it is important to come up with new liquidity in order to provide the salaries to employees and payment of debts to suppliers before Easter.
At a press conference with the Prime Minister, Ramljak said that very demanding and important work for the salvation of Agrokor is to follow.
"We have before us a very demanding and difficult task. We have a battle for Agrokor, the battle for Agrokor employees, suppliers and creditors, the battle against spilling the problems over to the entire Croatian economy in the region and beyond," said Ramljak.
